Once again, the portfolio of Corteva offers fungicides and herbicides that build on their qualities and advantages.

In 2024 Bulgarian farmers will be able to use the two fungicides for cereal crops VERBEN® and UNIVOC®, which provide added value in the control of economically important diseases.

Attention! Attention! We present to you the new fungicide VERBEN®

VERBEN® contains two active substances, proven in practice, for the control of economically important diseases in cereal crops such as powdery mildew, leaf and glume septoria, brown rust, yellow rust, helminthosporiosis, fusarium head blight, crown rot, leaf spots, net blotch and ramularia. The excellent synergism of the two active substances ensures superior disease control and helps to achieve yield potential. The unique combination of the active substances increases the efficacy of VERBEN®, thereby achieving significantly improved control of the most economically important diseases compared to solo application of prothioconazole.

VERBEN® stands out with the following practical advantages:

• Gas phase acting as a shield, protecting even untreated tissues.
• Enhances the immune protection of the crop
• Stops the development of spores, thus preventing the cycle of re-infection upwards in the new growth
• Directly inhibits the development of germinating spores and infection
• Has a strong preventive, curative and eradicative action

The application rate of VERBEN® is extremely flexible depending on the timing of application, as follows: T1 - 60 ml/da; T2 - 75 ml/da; T3 - 90 ml/da, with spray volume: 15-40 l/da

UNIVOC® - “Extraterrestrial” protection

UNIVOC® is a fungicide that provides exceptional protective, stopping and curative action against all economically important diseases in cereal crops. It is a two-component, double-systemic fungicide containing prothioconazole, which is one of the newest and most powerful triazoles with systemic, eradicative and protective action, intended for the control of diseases in cereals, including rusts, septoria, leaf spots, powdery mildew and fusarium, and the completely new active substance Inatreq™ active from a new chemical group and with a new mode of action against a broad spectrum of diseases, whose most essential advantage is that it is the new benchmark against septoria species and a tool for managing resistance to this pathogen. The active ingredients in UNIVOC® complement each other in a so-called synergistic effect, which gives farmers a new tool for the control of all diseases in cereal crops.

UNIVOC® provides excellent duration of protection, sufficient to protect crops even under very high disease pressure, which is combined with a physiological effect expressed in stimulation of root formation and, based on all this, helps the crop to reach its maximum yield potential and high grain quality parameters. Farmers’ feedback from using UNIVOC® in 2023 is that the fungicide provides excellent control of powdery mildew, fusarium, crown rot, brown rust, yellow rust, snow mold, early leaf blight and septoria. UNIVOC® is applied at a flexible rate depending on the timing of application, as follows: T1 – 120 ml/da; T2 – 130 ml/da and T3 for fusarium protection at a rate of 130 to 150 ml/da.

To obtain the maximum benefits provided by UNIVOC®, it is most appropriate to apply it as a T2 fungicide treatment, especially under high infection pressure from septoria and rust species. In case of high risk of fusarium head blight, UNIVOC® also ensures impeccable control of the disease when applied at T3 at the beginning of flowering.

For the 2024 season VERBEN® and UNIVOC® will be offered in a package application with the new herbicide with a new active substance and a new mode of action QVELEX®. This package will be a Royal protection against weeds and diseases in cereal crops.
