Opening of the third "Science" demo point at the CRABB in Plovdiv

Science and technology are joining forces and creating innovative solutions to support Bulgarian agriculture at another modern location in the country!

The next “Science” Demo Point of *AgroHub.BG will open its doors on 16 November (Thursday) at 13:00 in the newly built research complex of the Center of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology (CPSBB) in Plovdiv.

It will be useful for all farmers, representatives of the agricultural sector and research institutes in the sector to learn how science and technology in Bulgaria are addressing the challenges related to the digitalization of Bulgarian agriculture!

You will meet scientists from CPSBB who will present to you research projects they are working on to improve plant resilience and their nutritional qualities, increase yields and improve the harvest of economically important crops!

14:35 – 15:05 Visit to the high-tech greenhouse of CPSBB, selected as the “Science” Demo Point of the AgroDigiRise project – Visitors will have the opportunity to learn in detail about the technology installed in the greenhouse for precision irrigation and plant nutrition, as well as some of the research projects of CPSBB that are being implemented in neighbouring greenhouses.

15:05 – 16:00 Informal discussions and, if of interest, a tour of some of the specialized premises and laboratories of CPSBB


AgroHub.BG is a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) for the South-Central Region, approved under the “Digital Europe” programme with the AgroDigiRise project.

The focus of the project is precision agriculture – automation of processes, optimization of resources, smart agronomy, through which the agriculture of the future can happen today. Producers can test comprehensive innovative technological solutions based on Industry 4.0 and receive support from technology experts for their implementation in their farms and businesses.
