With this greeting during the 2023 summer season, the winery welcomed several thousand visitors, many of whom with advance reservations – through a tour operator, the Tripadvisor/Viator platform, Gifto, and others. The summer season on the Black Sea is the perfect time to discover everything that DiVes Winery has to offer, namely three remarkable tours that turned the holidays of many Bulgarian and foreign tourists into a true pleasure:

Historical Tour

The winery is situated on the historical Simeonova Mogila hill, associated with one of the most epic battles in our history: the Battle of the Achelous River of 20 August 917. Tsar Simeon the Great commanded the battle from the very place where the winery is now located, which is why the area bears the name “Simeonova Mogila”. Guided by an experienced guide, visitors become acquainted with the history of the battle and the monument “The Eye of the Victor”.

Lavender Aroma Tasting

The winery offers you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of 5 varieties of high-quality Bulgarian lavender and, through a special technique, to enjoy the pure and delicate aromas that each individual variety carries. This attraction undoubtedly thrilled the senses of our guests during the months of June, July and early August and enriched their knowledge of the plant and its origin. The stunning photographs of the lavender terraces against the backdrop of the sea complement the experience.

Wine Tour – Wine Tasting

For almost 10 years, the winery has been developing its Wine and Historical Tour and has established itself as a preferred destination for wine visits in the region of Nessebar and Sunny Beach. This success is due to the exceptional award-winning wines, distinguished by their rich taste and quality, and to the hospitality of the DiVes Winery team, which presents the key practices in wine production. During the tour, visitors learn how to evaluate wine in combination with selected foods, following the Food&Wine Pairing concept.

The winery is proud not only of the more than 85 international medals and distinctions won at the most prestigious wine competitions such as Decanter World Wine Awards, Mundus Vini, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Vinaria, and others, but also of the numerous reviews from our tourists, which are the best assessment of our service.

The summer season ended with the most important event for a winery, namely the grape harvest – of enormous importance to us, because it is the crossroads where the entire production chain of the wines begins. The winery is proud to announce that it has its own vineyards, where 5 different wine grape varieties are carefully cultivated: Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc, Pamid, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is equipped with modern machinery and technologies that support the work of the experienced team of oenologists and winery technicians. The team demonstrates 100% commitment, taking care of every detail in order to create exceptional wines with great love.

For the period May – September, tastings are offered every day in 4 languages: Bulgarian, English, German and Russian. During the period October – April, the winery will offer tastings and tours within the team’s working hours – from Monday to Friday until 4 p.m., in Bulgarian and English. Tastings are carried out by prior reservation.
