Biological agents against crop pests

With the increasing production of organic agricultural products, interest in biological agents as an alternative or supplement to crop treatment with plant protection products is growing. Another factor necessitating the definition and preparation of a specific list for the types of bioagents are the changes imposed by the EU's Common Agricultural Policy and direct payments. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food, together with the Ministry of Environment and Water, has compiled a list of biological agents that can be applied on the territory of Bulgaria against crop pests.
