Open Day of the Maize Institute in Knezha

On 8 August 2023, an Open Day on the topic “Breeding Achievements of the Maize Research Institute - Kneja” will be held at the Maize Research Institute – Kneja. The programme envisages the presentation of the latest developments of the scientists in the field of maize, as well as a visit to the Demonstration Field with maize hybrids of MRI-Kneja.

In 2023, four demonstration plots were sown at MRI-Kneja in the production field of the Maize Research Institute – Kneja – 45, “Center for Implementation” Ltd., Kneja – 20, in the Experimental Field of the Institute of Agriculture and Seed Science „Obraztsov Chiflik“ – Ruse – 10, and in the land of ET “Stefan Georgiev - NIM“ – Razgrad – 24. The hybrids are from all FAO maturity groups 300-600+. All hybrids of MRI-Kneja are resistant to diseases and pests, stress-tolerant and characterized by high productivity.

In addition to established hybrids that have proven their qualities, new hybrids will also be presented, which complement the rich portfolio of the Institute.
