Zorvec™ Vinabel™ - a revolution in the control of downy mildew in vineyards

How long has it been since you last heard the words – A new fungicide against downy mildew in vineyards, with combined fully systemic, locally systemic, translaminar, contact, curative and protective action. For decades, Bulgarian vine growers have been fighting vine downy mildew with plant protection products that do not provide a new approach for reliable disease control.

Well, that time has now come and on the market you can find Zorvec™ Vinabel™. It contains the newest active substance Zorvec™ (oxathiapiprolin), which is the first of its kind from a new class of fungicides with an unparalleled effect against downy mildews caused by fungal pathogens of the class Oomycetes. Zorvec™ Vinabel™ is a fungicidal combination with combined systemic, locally systemic, translaminar, contact, curative and protective action, providing secure, reliable and long-lasting control of vine downy mildew even under the highest infection pressure. Zorvec™ Vinabel™ acts in several phases of the pathogen’s life cycle and in this way is more effective than other products, both in combating downy mildew and in the duration of protection.

Zorvec™ Vinabel™ provides exceptional protection of the leaf mass and new growth for better development and health status of the vineyards, which leads to more profitable production. Zorvec™ Vinabel™  eliminates the development of the disease, which helps to obtain high-quality produce. It is recommended that Zorvec™ Vinabel™ be applied preventively in a sequence of two sprays at 15-day intervals. These two treatments provide up to 30 days of protection for the crop in its most sensitive stage of development (from the beginning of flowering to berry formation), when the grape yield is determined.

Zorvec™ Vinabel™ is absorbed very quickly – up to 20 minutes after spraying through the surface epidermis of the leaves, as well as internally (parenchymal tissue). Zorvec™ Vinabel™ is not washed off 20 minutes after treatment. This helps farmers avoid repeat treatments if it rains more than 20 minutes after spraying. The movement/translocation of Zorvec™ Vinabel™ from treated to untreated parts helps protect untreated clusters and leaves, including the new growth between two sprays. This is ensured by optimal coverage of the leaf mass in the critical stages of crop development. This gives vine growers more assurance, peace of mind and free time to deal with other issues in the vineyard.

How does Zorvec™ Vinabel™ stand out and how will it benefit vine growers?
