After nearly 20 years, there is now a truly new solution for broadleaf weed control in the most widely grown crop in Bulgaria. For many years, the market has been dominated and supplied mainly with herbicides against broadleaf weeds based on active substances from the sulfonylurea group. This has inevitably led to the development of resistance to these herbicides, which belong to one chemical group and have the same mode of action.

QVELEX® is a new stage in weed control, as it controls all broadleaf weeds, including those resistant to sulfonylurea and hormone-like herbicides, due to the content of Arylex™ ActiveArylex™ Active is a new active substance from a new chemical group and with a different mode of action against a wide spectrum of weeds, with its most significant advantage being that it is the first new active substance developed after more than 20 years. The other active substance, florasulam, in Qvelex®  has proven excellent efficacy against a wide spectrum of broadleaf weeds.  These properties of the active substances in QVELEX®  complement each other in a so-called synergistic effect, which provides you with a new tool and a new standard for broadleaf weed control in cereal crops and, in particular, benchmark efficacy against persistent or resistant weeds such as Corn poppy, Dead-nettle and Larkspur. During the introduction of QVELEX® in Bulgaria in 2022, the herbicide demonstrated exceptional effectiveness against all important broadleaf weeds.

QVELEX stands out among its competitors with its exceptional application flexibility from the 1st leaf to flag leaf, an extremely wide temperature range from +2°C to 27°C, and a fast and excellent effect even under large temperature amplitudes. QVELEX also contains a built-in safener, which guarantees 100% selectivity to the crop. After the application of QVELEX there are no restrictions for the following crops in the crop rotation in the autumn and in the spring of the following year.

QVELEX® can be applied both in autumn and in spring, with a recommended treatment dose of 5 g/da both in autumn and in spring. In the case of overgrown weeds and high density of ephemeral weeds and creeping thistle, an adjuvant Vivolt™ should be added.
