Institute of Plant Genetic Resources "K. Malkov" – AGRA 2023

The Institute of Plant Genetic Resources “K. Malkov” – Sadovo is expecting you at the International Agricultural Exhibition AGRA 2023 in Pavilion No. 6 to present its achievements.

Twenty varieties for which variety maintenance and seed production are carried out at IPGR Sadovo in wheat, barley, oats, rye, triticale, durum wheat, peanuts, sesame and rice.

IPGR is participating in the Innovation Competition with a new peanut variety “Adata”. The variety was developed by Assoc. Prof. Stanislav Stamatov. It has large kernels, a small habitus that limits evaporation during the hot period, and a shortened vegetation period. In addition, it is resistant to economically important peanut diseases.

At the stand you will be introduced to the new wheat variety “Yaylzla” and the wealth of plant genetic resources with which the institute’s research team is working.
