Field Days in Dobrudzha

The Dobrudzha Grain Producers Union is preparing a large-scale and exciting event from 26 to 29 July in the land of the village of Poruchik Geshanovo. You can expect useful advice, new technologies, traditions and farmers’ games.

“For the first time in Bulgaria such a large-scale platform will be held, which will combine the useful with the pleasant,” shares Radostina Zhekova, Chair of the Dobrudzha Producers Union. The entire range of products for agriculture will be presented in real field conditions. All the largest companies in the sector will showcase their new seeds, fertilizers, plant protection products and technologies.

During the discussions, farmers will receive useful advice from the Agricultural University in Plovdiv on how to deal with corn pests, a current issue for all farmers.

Over the course of 3 days, under real conditions, 200 spring crop hybrids from 12 seed companies, 17 manufacturers of agricultural machinery and 10 foliar fertilizer companies will be presented.

The organizers promise a wealth of useful information and exchange of experience, as well as an engaging entertainment programme.

For future farmers, the Dobrudzha Producers Union has prepared a demonstration of traditional flour milling and bread kneading, just as our grandmothers used to prepare it in the past.

With the support of the Vocational High School of Agricultural Management (PGAS) – Dobrich, guests will be able to enjoy a rich retro collection of machinery belonging to the high school.

For the bravest farmers, there will be numerous competitions and games.

The planned agricultural platform in the village of Poruchik Geshanovo aims to facilitate farmers in their choice of products for the new farming year.
