Festival of the Raspberry – for the seventh time in Loznitsa

The Seventh National Specialized Exhibition for Berry Crops and the Traditional Raspberry Festival Loznica 2022 will be held on 22 and 23 July 2022.

Over the course of two days, this year the exhibition will place special emphasis on field demonstration tours, integrated pest management using entomophages (insects against insects), as well as on pests with non-chemical means in accordance with European directives on pesticide reduction. The festival will also present digital systems for management, monitoring and reporting of yields, a mobile production line for harvesting, sorting, labelling and packaging of berries, as well as means of protection against adverse climatic conditions such as winter frosts, ground frosts, hail and drought. There will be presentations by leading companies in precision irrigation and digital fertilization management, and new raspberry and strawberry varieties will also be an important part of the exhibition.

Alongside the official programme, visitors will be able to select the most successful raspberry picker, enjoy a rich folklore programme from the region of Loznica Municipality, and taste organic products, honey and the most delicious raspberry jam. There will also be an awards ceremony for the best-performing berry producers in the country in the categories – best stand, largest, tastiest and most attractive fruits and products made from them.

Many other surprises for children and adults alike await you, organized by the Bulgarian Association of Raspberry and Berry Growers in cooperation with Loznica Municipality.
