Прием of documents for damages from adverse climatic conditions

As of 18 May, applications are being accepted under the de minimis aid scheme for farmers who have suffered damage to agricultural crops of less than 100% from the adverse climatic event – hail on 28.08.2021 in Plovdiv region. The budget under the aid scheme is BGN 2.8 million. Applications will be accepted until 3 June in the regional offices of the State Fund „Agriculture” according to the permanent address of natural persons and the registered address of legal entities. The funds will be paid by 17 June 2022.

The purpose of the aid is for farmers to restore the production potential of the affected areas so that their further activity is not compromised. The aid will be paid at the following rates per type of crop per hectare:

• head cabbage – BGN 1,990

• watermelons – BGN 1,941.30

• cauliflower – BGN 2,080

• rice – BGN 1,164.60

• eggplant – BGN 1,616.30

• open-field peppers – BGN 7,753

• sunflower – BGN 516

• courgettes – BGN 1,301.90

• open-field tomatoes – BGN 3,712

• raspberries – BGN 1,245

• melons – BGN 1,991.30

• lettuce – BGN 1,840

• leek – BGN 2,180

• salad – BGN 1,840

• strawberries – BGN 1,670

• beetroot for salad – BGN 1,840

 • plums – BGN 1,845

• dessert vineyards – BGN 2,114

• quinces – BGN 2,035

 • pears – BGN 2,035

• green beans – BGN 1,270.60

• apples – BGN 3,285

According to information from the Regional Directorate „Agriculture“ – Plovdiv, the area with damage of less than 100% as a result of the hailstorm that occurred at the end of August in the region amounts to 1,722.80 ha.
