Summer pruning in peach

On 8 June 2022, a training seminar on “Summer Pruning in Peach” will be held in the orchard of the farmer Georgi Kirov in Sliven.

Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Sotirov, PhD, from the Institute of Agriculture – Kyustendil will demonstrate the main methods of summer pruning in the peach plantations of the agricultural producer Georgi Kirov in Sliven. Farmers will learn which are the most important prerequisites for undertaking summer pruning and what are the appropriate timeframes for its implementation.

In the second part of the seminar, the participants will be informed about the support opportunities for young farmers under Sub-measure 6.1 “Start-up Aid for Young Farmers” of the Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014–2020.
