Specialized Exhibition “Danube Fruit Growers” 2022

On 26 March nearly 40 companies in the agricultural sector will participate in the specialized exhibition “Danube Fruit Growers 2022” in Ruse.

The exhibition will feature 14 companies of processors and retail chains for direct meetings with farmers, and 24 companies will exhibit plant protection products; agro-consulting, financing; agricultural machinery and equipment, installations, drip irrigation and refrigeration equipment. In the outdoor exhibition area, fruit-growing tractors, disc harrows, sprayers, shredders will be displayed.

“Our main objective through the forum is to provide fruit and vegetable producers with the opportunity to find new partnerships and markets, despite the challenges of the times,” state the organizers from the Union of Danube Fruit Growers.

Seminars and corporate presentations

Within the framework of the exhibition, a seminar section will be held with scientific, practical and corporate presentations related to fruit growing. The NAAS will hold a seminar on the topic: “Support for small farmers, including under Measure 2, advisory services, farm management services, farm relief services”.

Associate Professor Dr. Sava Tabakov from the Agricultural University – Plovdiv will deliver a presentation on the topic: “The choice of rootstocks for fruit species is the basis of success”.

Corporate presentations on the latest innovations in plant protection and plant nutrition will be given by the companies Panamin KO General Partnership, UPL Bulgaria Ltd. and SEMBODIA Ltd.

The Ruse Business Center for SME Support will present the opportunities for finding local and international markets for small and medium-sized enterprises. Experts from the Regional Information Center Ruse will be at the visitors’ disposal to present the current and upcoming funding opportunities under the measures of the Rural Development Programme in 2022.

For the first time during the Danube Fruit Growers exhibition, a Farmers’ Market will also be held. It will feature producers of aronia, juices, honey and bee products, walnut oils and tahini, traditional sourdough bread, flower producers and others.

The “Danube Fruit Growers” 2022 exhibition is organized by the Union of Danube Fruit Growers, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Fund “Agriculture”.
