The time to choose broadleaf herbicides in cereal crops has come. Are you tired of planning when to treat according to the crop growth stage, what the following crop in the rotation will be, whether you can tank-mix with a fungicide, whether the herbicide is effective against persistent weeds, whether the temperature allows treatment and whether it will stress the crop, and then, after making the right choice, the conditions change abruptly and you once again wonder what to do.

This is no longer a problem with Quelex® - a new systemic herbicide for post-emergence application for the control of a large number of broadleaf weeds, including those resistant to sulfonylureas and hormone-type herbicides.

Here is what flexibility of application you can expect:

  • Quelex® is registered for use in wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale, which will save you time checking whether it is selective for the respective crop
  • Speaking of selectivity, it must be mentioned that Quelex is 100% selective to the crop, because it contains the well-known florasulam, as well as Arylex™ Active – a new active substance, which is the first member of a new active group that is rapidly degradable and safe for the environment and the crop, and to ensure everyone can rest easy, Quelex also contains an antidote – cloquintocet acid
  • Another important characteristic to your advantage is the exceptional flexibility of application from the 1st leaf to the flag leaf stage
  • And here is the added benefit that no other competing product possesses – trouble-free use of the product within a temperature range from +2°C to +27°C, which makes it perfect for use in spring and autumn
  • Even the scenario in which you have treated in warm weather and during the night the temperature drops by 10°C is no longer a problem, because Quelex is not affected by temperature amplitudes and its performance remains the same.
  • You have certainly wondered whether the herbicide is compatible with the fungicide and worried about the crop potential after treatment. Here as well you will no longer have a problem, because Quelex is compatible with other herbicides and fungicides, and the specialists from Corteva Agriscience™ recommend Quelex at a rate of 3.5 g/ha in combination with Palas® for complete control of grass and broadleaf weeds.

Quelex

Quelex® is a new stage in weed control, because it will control weeds resistant to sulfonylureas and hormone-type herbicides, as it contains the new active substance Arylex™ Active, which is the first new broadleaf herbicidal active substance in 20 years and has no cross-resistance. The product offers an outstanding effect against all economically important weeds in cereal crops and is also a benchmark for performance against poppy, dead-nettle and larkspur.

Quelex has an exceptionally fast action, which starts 1 hour after treatment, with visible effects observed within 48 hours and complete weed death within 2 weeks.

Quelex® can be applied both in autumn and in spring, with a recommended treatment rate both in autumn and spring of 5 g/ha. In the case of overgrown weeds and high density of ephemeral weeds and creeping thistle, the addition of the adjuvant Vivolt™ is recommended.
