Important deadlines for submitting applications for applying under RDP measures in January
Beekeeping Programme for 2022
From 4 to 17 January applications for 2022 under the National Beekeeping Programme are being accepted. For this year, the financial resource amounts to BGN 8,073,092. Documents are accepted at the regional directorates of the State Fund Agriculture. Measures B, G and D of the NBP 2020–2022 include activities for combating varroosis, carrying out laboratory analysis of honey and purchasing hives, bee colonies and queens. Under Measure A, applicants will be supported in the purchase of small beekeeping equipment, while Measure B is aimed at mobile beekeeping. With the amendment of the Ordinance of October 2021, new types of equipment that farmers may purchase are added.
The novelty for 2022 is that natural and legal persons registered as farmers with bee colonies may now also apply under Measure G “Testing of samples from the food reserves of bee colonies (honey, pollen) for residual quantities of pesticides above the maximum residue levels”. Until now, the measure was available only to associations and organizations. Documents under the measure will be accepted only at the Central Administration of the State Fund “Agriculture” – Sofia.
Beekeeping associations and organizations may apply under Measure E, Activity 3 “Monitoring of pesticide residues in bees from areas with intensive agriculture”. Documents under these measures will be accepted at the Central Administration of the State Fund “Agriculture” – Paying Agency.
Coupled support for potatoes, onions and garlic
From 4 January to 31 January 2022 potato, onion and garlic producers will be able to submit the declaration and the electronic list of documents for marketed production under the scheme. Documents will be accepted until 31.01.2022 in the “Implementation of Support Schemes and Measures” (ISSM) departments in the regional directorates of the State Fund “Agriculture”. The documents for marketed production under scheme CS-POG must be issued in the period from 01.02.2021 to 31.01.2022 for Campaign 2021.
Applicants under scheme CS–POG (potatoes, onions and garlic) may send an electronic list of the documents and their scanned copies by e-mail to the respective regional directorate of the State Fund “Agriculture” within the period from 04.01.2022 to 17:30 on 26.01.2022. Afterwards, they will be invited by an officer of the respective regional directorate of SFA to sign the required documents and finalize the procedure for acceptance of the declaration for marketed production.
De minimis for tobacco producers
From 20 December 2021 to 31 January 2022 tobacco producers may apply for the de minimis state aid, under which tobacco producers will be compensated due to the drought and the high gas prices. The budget is BGN 3 million, and the rate is BGN 120 per decare. A total of 2,113 out of 3,320 registered producers will receive support.
Eligible for financial support are registered tobacco producers engaged in the primary production of agricultural products. They must be included in the Register of Tobacco Producers for 2021. Applicants under the scheme must also have recorded quantities of marketed production in the Register of Tobacco Producers for 2020.
Eligible tobacco producers will receive their subsidies by 28 February 2022.
