At the end of October and the beginning of November, in most of the field regions the conditions will allow the implementation of seasonal soil tillage and the delayed sowing of winter cereal crops. Exceptions will occur in some places in Southern Bulgaria, where during the second ten-day period of October precipitation of up to and over 100l/m² was recorded (Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Haskovo, Kardzhali, Stara Zagora, Chirpan), which led to waterlogging of the soil in the 50 cm layer. At the end of October the deadlines for wheat sowing in the northeastern regions and along the Black Sea coast expire. A significant part of the planned areas for winter cereal crops will be sown in November, after the agrotechnical deadlines. Objective reasons for the delays in wheat sowing are the prolonged drought and the subsequent above-normal October precipitation.

During the period, the development of the winter cereal crops sown so far will proceed at a moderate pace. In the stands sown during the third ten-day period of October, the germination stage will take place. In some locations in the Danube Plain (agricultural station Novachene), in the earliest sown wheat stands at the beginning of autumn, the formation of 2–3 leaves will be observed.

On most days of the period, the conditions will be suitable for harvesting the crops of autumn-winter varieties of fruit trees and for clearing the areas from late row crops. The following period is a suitable time for planting raspberries and blackcurrants (cassis).
