Belkar™ EC is a new herbicide for autumn post-emergence treatment in oilseed rape. With its two active substances Arylex™ active (a new active substance from a new chemical group with a new mode of action – helping to control weeds that are already resistant to ALS-inhibiting herbicides and others) and picloram, Belkar™ EC sets a new standard for autumn control of all significant broadleaf weeds. Belkar™ EC provides excellent results in weed control even against cruciferous weeds, which gives it an undeniable advantage over competing products. With its unique formulation containing the new active substance Arylex™ active, Belkar™ EC is resistant to large temperature amplitudes and can be applied at temperatures from 5°C, thus enabling farmers to secure a reliable partner in weed control without worrying about weather conditions.
Applied at a rate of 50 ml/da from the cotyledon stage (first pair of true leaves) to the fourth pair of true leaves (BBCH 12-30), Belkar™ controls a wide range of weeds such as cleavers, speedwell, mayweed, cornflower, wild poppy, cranesbill, shepherd’s purse, as well as difficult-to-control weeds such as chickweed, and also weeds resistant to ALS herbicides and cruciferous weeds (wild mustard).

Practical advantages of Belkar™
→ A new solution for economically important broadleaf weeds
→ A solution for the control of cruciferous weeds, including wild mustard
in conventional technology
→ Dual systemic and mutually complementary action of the active
substances
→ Herbicide uptake simultaneously through the leaves and roots of the
weeds, resulting in 100% absorption by the weeds
→ Reliable weed control even under variable
climatic conditions when other herbicides cannot cope
(low temperatures and dry conditions)
→ New mode of action helping to achieve effective control of
weeds, including species resistant to commonly used
herbicides
→ No issues or restrictions for subsequent crops in the crop rotation
→ Resistant to wash-off by rain falling one hour after treatment
→ Selective to winter oilseed rape (when applied according to the directions on the
label)
→ Belkar™ contains a built-in adjuvant which contributes to better and faster
absorption of the product
→ Suitable for use in a technology without application of a soil herbicide and when climatic conditions are unfavourable – dry weather without precipitation and soil moisture below the minimum required for normal activity of soil-applied herbicides
