The SFA will pay BGN 270 per hectare to compensate for costs related to the implementation of the National Program for Pest Control in Permanent Crops.

The pest control program for permanent crops is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized farms growing permanent fruit species - pome and stone fruits. The financial aid will total BGN 270 per hectare including VAT and will be used to purchase approved plant protection products for pest eradication during the winter period. The treatment of fruit trees will be carried out in the period after the winter frosts until bud swelling.

Costs incurred both before the respective stage of pest control has begun and after an application for aid has been submitted to the State Fund "Agriculture" can be accounted for as eligible expenses. The Fund will disburse the aid based on invoices for the purchase of plant protection products issued after the submission of the documents.

Applications will be submitted at the regional directorates of the State Fund "Agriculture" at the permanent address of individuals or sole traders, or at the management address of legal entities from February 5 to February 27, 2015, inclusive.

Changes are expected in the national program for pest control in permanent crops during the winter period of 2014/2015.

Until then, we apply the existing regulation: NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR PEST CONTROL IN PERMANENT CROPS DURING THE WINTER PERIOD
