Strawberry cultivation under high-mountain conditions – cultivation methods and possibilities for minimizing agrotechnical practices

On 12 August (Thursday) at 11:00 a.m. a webinar will be held on the topic “Cultivation of strawberries under high mountain conditions – methods of cultivation and possibilities for minimizing agrotechnical operations”
During the online seminar Assoc. Prof. Emiliyan Popescu, PhD, from the Scientific Centre for Animal Husbandry and Agriculture – Smolyan will acquaint farmers with the main methods of cultivating strawberry plantations under high mountain conditions. Participants will have the opportunity to watch a pre-recorded video through which they will learn about ways to increase yields and reduce costs under adverse climatic conditions and the possibilities for minimizing agrotechnical operations. Additionally, all interested parties will be informed about the possibilities for support to small agricultural holdings under the upcoming call for Sub-measure 6.3 „Start-up aid for the development of small farms” of the Rural Development Programme 2014–2020 – regarding the activities and role of NAAS in support of agricultural producers.
The main topics of the information seminar are as follows:
- Methods of strawberry cultivation under high mountain conditions;
- Minimizing the number of agrotechnical operations in strawberries through the use of herbicides and manual treatments;
Possibilities for support to small agricultural holdings under
- the upcoming call for Sub-measure 6.3 „Start-up aid for the development of small farms” of the Rural Development Programme 2014–2020 – activities and role of NAAS in support of agricultural producers.
