AMALGEROL ESSENCE is a multifunctional, high-quality natural biostimulant for foliar application in cereal, oilseed, fruit and vegetable crops, vineyards and others. Its unsurpassed effect is known to many farmers in over 30 countries.

1. AMALGEROL ESSENCE – trial at IRGR Sadovo – higher and better-quality yields

The team of “Medi Plus R” Ltd. demonstrated the application and benefits of the product in a trial at IRGR Sadovo in maize.

In the control, basic fertilization was carried out with nitrate nitrogen at a rate of 40 kg/ha, using conventional maize cultivation technology. The control was compared with a variant in which the biostimulant AMALGEROL ESSENCE was applied twice at a rate of 200 ml/ha and the nitrogen fertilization rate was reduced – 30 kg ammonium nitrate per ha. The first application of AMALGEROL ESSENCE was carried out at the 3–4 true leaf stage, and the second – at tasseling. The yield obtained in the control was 650 kg/ha, while in the variant with the use of AMALGEROL ESSENCE it was 915 kg/ha. The increase is 41%, respectively.

The difference lies in the development of the plants and in their habitus. A visible distinction is observed between the control (on the right) and the plants treated with AMALGEROL ESSENCE (on the left).

Alexander Metodiev, sales representative of the Austrian manufacturing company, shares that in the control the higher rate of nitrogen fertilization does not lead to healthier and better-developed plants, whereas with the reduced nitrogen rate in combination with the double application of AMALGEROL ESSENCE the plants are better nourished, more balanced and healthier.

2. AMALGEROL ESSENCE enhances the effect of herbicides

AMALGEROL ESSENCE plays a key role in weed control in maize. This is demonstrated by the following practical example: two fields in the region of the town of Vidin were compared, where maize was sown at the same time by two different farmers. In both fields, maize was treated on 9 May 2020 with the same plant protection product – a herbicide with the active substance mesotrione. In the second field, the maize was treated with the herbicide in combination with the biostimulant AMALGEROL ESSENCE at a rate of 200 ml/ha.

The results from the second field, treated with a herbicide in combination with AMALGEROL ESSENCE, show active uptake of nutrients from the soil 10–15 times faster compared to normal conditions, because the use of the biostimulant increases the root volume many times over. As a result, maize plants use nutrients and water more efficiently and increase their size, while weeds absorb the herbicide more actively, which leads to their faster death. The results are astonishing – 48 hours after treatment, a visible effect on the weeds is observed – they turn yellow and dieback of their vegetative tips is noticeable, and after 4 days they have almost disappeared. In the maize treated only with mesotrione herbicide, there is no visible rapid effect after treatment, as in the second field.

AMALGEROL ESSENCE ensures high and good-quality yields as it acts in many directions: soil, roots, plants, weed control, support under stress conditions, action as an adjuvant, strengthening of plant immunity, decomposition of crop residues.
