What are the new plant protection products in 2015

On 19.12.2014, an extraordinary Council on Plant Protection Products was held at the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA). In connection with the severe climatic conditions of the past year, the conducted risk assessment for the emergence and spread of the common vole and an increased infectious background of various fungal plant diseases, 18 new plant protection products were approved. Of these, 9 are fungicides for disease control, 4 are insecticides for pest control, and 5 are herbicides for weed treatment. An additional product for the common vole was not voted on because there is currently a rodenticide approved on the market under the procedure for limited and controlled use.

Belvedere Forte with active substances: ethofumesate, desmedipham, phenmedipham, product function: herbicide, applied for by company "Adama Agriculture", Germany;

Accent 75 WG with active substance: nicosulfuron, product function: herbicide, applied for by company "DuPont Bulgaria" EOOD.

Gardoprim Plus Gold/Silba SC with active substances: s-metolachlor, terbuthylazine, product function: herbicide, applied for by company "Syngenta Bulgaria" EOOD.

Domark 10EC with active substance: tetraconazole, product function: fungicide, applied for by company "Chemtura Agro Solutions".

Acanto plus with active substances: picoxystrobin, cyproconazole, product function: fungicide, applied for by company DuPont Bulgaria EOOD.

Sfera Max with active substances: trifloxystrobin, cyproconazole, product function: function, applied for by company Bayer Bulgaria EOOD

The use of the following plant protection products is discontinued:

Antracol 70WG with active substance: propineb, product function: fungicide, applied for by company "Bayer Bulgaria" EOOD.

Equip SC with active substance: foramsulfuron, product function: herbicide, applied for by company "Bayer Bulgaria" EOOD.
