Основ methods for grafting in woody fruit species

On 22 April (Thursday) from 10:30 a.m. an online informational seminar will be held, organized by NAAS (Territorial District Office – Kyustendil), Agri.bg and the Institute of Agriculture – Kyustendil on the topic: “Basic grafting methods for woody fruit species”

During the online seminar, participants will receive information and will see in practice the basic grafting methods for woody fruit species. They will learn which are the most suitable periods for grafting. They will see in practice how grafting of woody fruit species is carried out – budding and scion grafting. They will learn when and how budding (oculation) is carried out and what materials are required for grafting fruit trees. Lecturer and demonstrator: Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Sotirov, PhD, Institute of Agriculture – Kyustendil at the Agricultural Academy.

The main topics of the informational seminar are as follows:

  • Suitable periods for grafting;
  • Budding – T-budding and chip budding;
  • Types of scion grafting – simple whip graft, improved whip graft, side graft, bark graft, cleft graft and goat’s foot graft.

Participation in the seminar is free of charge, but prior registration is required!
