Rely again on Galera™ Super - The broadest-spectrum post-emergence herbicide against broadleaf weeds in oilseed rape
Dear colleagues,
Due to the normal soil moisture and the relatively warm months of October, November and December 2020, rape crops across the country are generally in the optimal stage for overwintering. Because of the prolonged vegetation period during these months, weeds have also advanced in their development, which implies an earlier application of herbicides in spring in order to free the crops from competition with the weeds.
Galera™ Super is the broadest-spectrum post-emergence herbicide against broadleaf weeds in oilseed rape, effectively controlling even the most persistent broadleaf weeds.
Galera™ Super contains three active substances from three different chemical groups, which have a mutually complementary effect. It is applied from the second true leaf up to nine or more formed internodes, BBCH 12-39, both in spring and in autumn in the presence of weeds. For optimal performance a minimum temperature of 8°C – 10°C is required.
When applied at a rate of 25 ml/da with a spray volume of 10-40 l/da in oilseed rape, Galera™ Super provides excellent control of cornflower, mayweed, creeping thistle, field bindweed, knotgrass, pigweed, common lambsquarters, black nightshade, chickweed, dead nettle, wild poppy, cleavers, milk thistle, speedwell, violet, dead nettle, wild poppy, shepherd’s purse, volunteer sunflower, etc. Thanks to its additional soil activity, Galera™ Super controls later-emerging weeds.
In case of failure of rape treated with Galera™ Super for whatever reason – crop damage due to soil freezing, frost, disease or pest attack, on the same area it is possible to sow, at least 1 month after application and after pre-sowing tillage (ploughing), mustard, cabbage from seedlings, wheat or maize.
The practical advantages that distinguish Galera™ Super are:
- It is absorbed simultaneously by leaves and roots and is translocated throughout the whole weed plant
- Additional soil activity
- Wide application window
- Effective against volunteer sunflower and peas
- Three-component product with active substances from three different chemical groups
- Selective post-emergence systemic herbicide
- Absorbed simultaneously by leaves and roots
- Very fast uptake by weeds – within 1 hour
- The effect is visibly faster under warm and moist conditions
- Easily applicable liquid formulation – soluble concentrate (SL)
- Can be applied both in autumn and in spring
- Different mode of action of the active substances and mutually complementary effect
