The question we are seeking an answer to is whether there is an alternative to fertilization with synthetic fertilizers. The answer is clear – Nutribio N.

Nutribio N is a powdered nitrogen (N) fixing microbial fertilizer that promotes plant growth and improves nutrient use efficiency. The bacteria in the product remain alive for 4 years due to the innovative drying technology applied by the Spanish manufacturing company. This determines the long shelf life of the product, which is an important advantage. Through the drying mechanism the bacteria remain dormant and are activated under suitable conditions: moisture and temperature above 10 degrees. The effect of Nutribio N is due to the unique bacterial strain “CERES Azotobacter salinestris”, which distinguishes it from similar products on the market.

Just as people take probiotics to improve their health, plants also need probiotics to improve their development. The probiotics in Nutribio N colonize plant roots and create a biofilm, improving the rhizosphere microbiome, which decreases under the influence of various plant protection products and therefore needs stimulation. The bacteria penetrate the plant and radically colonize it.

Nutribio N contains live microorganisms that are applied to seeds, the plant surface or the soil, and colonize the rhizosphere and the plant interior, stimulating growth by increasing access to or availability of essential nutrients to the plant. The mode of action includes nutrient supply, nitrogen (N) fixation, solubilization of P and K, and transport of iron (Fe) to the plant.

The main and most important function of the product Nutribio N is the reduction of the nitrogen fertilization rate by up to 35% and the increase of yield by up to 10%.

The team of Medi Plus R recommends a combination of Nutribio N and the natural biostimulant AMALGEROL ESSENCE to achieve better results, because trials have proven how AMALGEROL ESSENCE accelerates the bacterial reproduction process by up to 80%, i.e. it makes the probiotic even more effective.

The synergistic effect of using the two products gave excellent results in wheat in a trial conducted at the Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (IPGR) in Sadovo. Three variants were tested: a control with fertilization with ammonium nitrate 30 kg/da and yield of 456 kg/da; a second variant with double the ammonium nitrate rate 60 kg/da and yield of 620 kg/da; and a third variant in which nitrogen fertilization with 30 kg/da ammonium nitrate was applied and together with the herbicide Nutribio N was applied at a rate of 3 g/da and AMALGEROL ESSENCE at a rate of 200 ml/da. In the third variant the yield was 766.60 kg/da, which represents an increase of 68% compared to the first control.

Very good results were also recorded in the conducted trial in maize. In the control with nitrogen fertilization with ammonium nitrate 40 kg/da, the recorded yield was 650 kg/da. The control was compared with a variant in which nitrogen fertilization was reduced to 30 kg/da. A first spraying with AMALGEROL ESSENCE at a rate of 200 ml/da was carried out, and a second spraying in a combination of AMALGEROL ESSENCE at a rate of 200 ml/da and Nutribio N at a rate of 5 g/da. The yield was 910 kg/da. The increase compared to the control was 40%.

By applying Nutribio N and AMALGEROL ESSENCE, the final fertilization of wheat and maize is saved, which has both economic and environmental benefits.

Rates and method of application: it can be applied in combination with plant protection products. Application rate:

• 2.5 – 5 g/da in field crops:
  • in wheat, application is combined with spring herbicide treatment;
  • in maize, application is combined with the first treatment with a foliar herbicide;
• 2.5 – 7.5 g/da in vegetable crops;
• 2.5 – 12.5 g/da in fruit trees.

50 g of the product are dissolved in 10 l of water and then added to the sprayer. Nutribio N is compatible with the most commonly used fertilizers and agrochemicals and is certified for organic farming.
