Вinery "DiVes Estate" has added another medal to its collection from the world's most prestigious wine competition "Decanter"

Winery „DiVes Estate” is a landmark representative of the new generation of Bulgarian wine producers. We associate it mainly with two things: the centuries-old history of the place where it is located, namely on the historic hill of Simeonova Mogila, a symbol of Bulgaria's glorious victory in the Battle of the Achelous River in 917. Secondly, the winery has become synonymous with high-quality Bulgarian wines. This is evidenced not only by the estate’s own vineyards and the use of state-of-the-art oenological equipment and technology, but also by the numerous medals and awards won at national and international competitions.

The wines under the trademark „DiVes” will remain forever in Bulgarian history with one emblematic distinction – DiVes Merlot Barrique Special Selection vintage 2012 is the winner of the first Gold Medal for Bulgaria from the largest and most prestigious wine competition in the world, the „Decanter World Wine Awards”. The success came only a few years after the establishment of the winery with the first wine from the boutique series Special Selection, which the team created with great care and attention. Each bottle is hand-sealed with wax and carries a slight nostalgia for the past and a touch of uniqueness. The continuation of the limited series DiVes Merlot&Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique Special Selection vintage 2016 was rated with 88 points at this year's edition of „Decanter” and added another medal to the collection – a Bronze distinction for this remarkable wine. The delicate and enigmatic aroma, the rich palette of red and black forest fruits, coffee, vanilla, dried meat, as well as the fullness of the taste, won over the competition jury.

The red wines have earned another 4 Bronze medals and 3 recommendations from „Decanter” for the period from 2013 to 2019, while among the rosés the Silver medal for vintage 2017 stands out, as well as two Bronze medals and one recommendation. Over the years, the expert jury of the competition did not fail to recognize the excellent Muscat of „DiVes” with a Bronze medal and two recommendations. In total, the distinctions from all competitions exceed 80!
