The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency signed a Declaration of Cooperation with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment

The two institutions will establish mechanisms for information exchange and cooperation in the form of joint programs and trainings

At the personal invitation of Prof. Mollov, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency, Prof. Andreas Hensel, President of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment of the Federal Republic of Germany, and his deputy, Prof. Rainer Wittkowski, are on a visit. Following the guests' introduction to the activities and structure of the BFSA, a Declaration of Cooperation between the two institutions was signed.

One of the projects the two institutions will work on jointly envisages the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment analyzing the state of the laboratory structures within the BFSA and providing recommendations for their restructuring and modernization.

The parties expect that participation in this network will enhance the professional qualifications of the experts and expand the possibilities for scientific research studies.
