In today’s challenging times, every agricultural producer faces the challenge of how to increase the yield and quality of their production while at the same time preserving soil fertility. The answer is one – the use of the uniquely formulated biostimulant Amalgerol Essence, which acts simultaneously on the soil, the roots and the plants.
Sunflower
Based on many years of trials carried out in Bulgarian institutes and the experience of agricultural producers who have placed their trust in Amalgerol Essence, we observe the following results in sunflower:
- The level of oil content under standard technology is 42–45%.
- When applying standard technology with the use of Amalgerol Essence the oil content increases to 46–48%.
The value of the results obtained also depends on the embedded potential of the hybrid.
We are increasingly witnessing the trend that sunflower traders provide an additional premium for high oil content, and production with higher oil content is purchased at a higher price. We first observed this fact among exporting companies, and now Bulgarian oil mills are following their example.
There are special hybrids on the market – high-oleic sunflower hybrids, which are required to have a minimum oleic acid content of 80%. Practice shows that high-oleic hybrids treated under standard technology in combination with Amalgerol Essence have an oleic acid content of 88–90% and are purchased at a higher price.
For sunflower yield after the use of Amalgerol Essence we record an increase of 10–15%, depending on whether the plants are treated once or twice. Application:
- first treatment at the 2–4 pair of leaves growth stage;
- second treatment at the beginning of the budding stage before row closure (usually in combination with products for control of Johnsongrass).
The recommended rate is 200 ml/da.
Maize
Amalgerol Essence also delivers excellent results in maize, with one or two applications depending on the producer’s farming technology:
- The first treatment is carried out together with the application of herbicides against Johnsongrass and other grasses. In case of spring drought, treatment with Amalgerol Essence enables maize to cope with stress and overcome drought with minimal damage thanks to the antioxidants contained in the product. If a period of drought occurs in spring and the maize has not been treated with Amalgerol Essence, we recommend immediate treatment before leaf rolling.
- It is advisable that the second treatment with Amalgerol Essence be at the end of June at the 16th leaf stage (tasseling) during foliar application of a liquid nitrogen product (with low biuret content).
Through the second treatment, maize tolerates more effectively the droughts that are traditionally expected in July and August, and yields are 15–20% higher (even more in some cases). The application rate is 200 ml/da.
We recommend carrying out the first treatment with Amalgerol Essence on sunflower and maize, as it affects the formation of a more powerful root system and a better developed leaf mass.
