At the end of the previous period, the agrometeorological conditions underwent a substantial change, as after the prolonged winter drought, economically significant precipitation of between 20 – 40 l/m2 fell in many regions of the country, which improved the water content of the upper soil layers.
During the next seven-day period, the forecast temperature decrease will preserve the state of deep dormancy in the winter cereal crops. The snow cover that formed at the end of the past period, with a depth of 10 - 25 cm, will protect the autumn-sown crops from the expected critical minimum temperatures, in places down to minus 15°C, and will prevent the occurrence of frost damage.
In the second half of the period, unsettled weather with frequent precipitation and rising temperatures is forecast. As a result of this change, the agrometeorological conditions for carrying out soil tillage in the fields intended for sowing with spring crops will not be suitable. The same applies to the top-dressing of autumn-sown crops with nitrogen mineral fertilizers. Conditions for pruning in orchards and vineyards will occur in the days after the middle of the period, with positive daytime temperatures and without precipitation.
