Institute of Agriculture in Kyustendil celebrates 90 years

On 27 September 2019, in the town of Kyustendil, a Jubilee celebration will be held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Institute of Agriculture in Kyustendil.

Within the framework of the celebration, a scientific conference with international participation will also take place on the topic: „Science and Agriculture: Global and Regional Challenges", which will be held on 27–28 September 2019 from 10:15 a.m. at Park Hotel Kyustendil, 19 „Kalosia“ Street, Hisarlaka. The attendees will be acquainted with the gene pool of apple cultivars and hybrids maintained by the Institute of Agriculture – Kyustendil.

On Saturday (28 September), the traditional exhibition „Festival of Fertility” will also be organized in the center of Kyustendil, where the Institute will present diverse and high-quality cultivars created by the scientists in the field of fruit-growing science.

The management of the Institute of Agriculture – Kyustendil and the Organizing Committee under the honorary chairmanship of the President of the Agricultural Academy, Prof. DSc Eng. Martin Banov, invite all colleagues and like-minded partners to the upcoming celebration marking the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Institute.
