On 10 April 2019, in the city of Ruse, a joint information meeting - seminar of the National Agricultural Advisory Service (TOO - Ruse), Shumen University „E. K. Preslavski“ and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (MAFF) will be held on the topic: „Activities in nut orchards. Opportunities for association in the nut fruit sector“.
Assoc. Prof. Kiril Slavov, PhD, Shumen University „E. K. Preslavski“ will acquaint the attendees with the methods for establishing a walnut plantation, as well as with the pruning methods for crown formation and pruning for fruiting. The lecturer will clarify what care needs to be taken during the non-bearing period. At the meeting, a representative of the Directorate „Market Measures and Producer Organisations”, MAFF will present to farmers the opportunities for association in the nut fruit sector.
Experts from TOO - Ruse at the NAAS will present the opportunities for support to farmers under the measures of the RDP 2014 - 2020.
The seminar will be held in the city of Ruse, 6 „Svoboda“ Sq., „Panoramna“ Hall, in the building of the Regional Administration - Ruse.
