At the end of March, the agrometeorological conditions were determined by average daily temperatures exceeding the climatic norms and precipitation of no economic significance, which conditioned the development of agricultural crops under limited moisture reserves in the root-inhabited soil layer.

At the beginning of April, a decrease in minimum temperatures (down to minus 2 – 3°C) and conditions for the formation of frost are forecast, which will pose a risk of damage to fruit trees entering the flowering stage.

During the second half of the period, an increase in temperatures is forecast, but the absence of significant precipitation will be a limiting factor for the initial stages of development of the sown spring crops and for the course of the vegetative processes in the autumn-sown crops.

During the period, the tillering and transition from tillering to stem elongation stages will take place in wheat and barley. In winter oilseed rape, the branching stage will be observed. In stone fruit species, the flowering stage will occur.

The period coincides with the agrotechnical time frame for sowing sunflower in the Danubian Plain.

During most of the next seven days, the conditions will be suitable for performing pre-sowing tillage and sowing of sunflower. On windless days, it will be possible to carry out herbicide treatments in cereal crops.
